In New South Wales, a woman named Roz along with her husband Harlod and son Tome live by the Beach with Lil who is a widow with a son named Ian. The two women Roz and Lil are best friends as well as the two sons Tom and Ian being best friends. Over the course of the film, Harold applies for and gets a job in Sydney but doesn’t tell Roz. He is expecting Roz to accept the news and move to Sydney with him. However she is not looking to move right away.

At this time Roz and Ian begin having a sexual relationship. This is discovered by Tom, and he retaliates by starting a sexual relationship with Lil.
